Piehler Psychotherapy, LCSW, PLLC
About Me
Barbara Piehler, LCSW
Welcome! I am a NY & CT Licensed Psychotherapist offering Telehealth appointments in the comfort of your own space. I received my MSW from Fordham University and have experience working with individuals, groups, and families. My primary focus right now is working with adults (ages 18-64) who struggle with perfectionism, people-pleasing, and self-esteem, often feeling disconnected from their own needs while trying to meet the expectations of others.

01.
15-Minute
Consultations
I know how important it is to connect with the right therapist. I offer free 15-minute consultations so I can learn a little more about you and your unique needs. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.
02.
Areas of Focus & Modalities
Anxiety
Perfectionism
Difficulty feeling secure in relationships
Self-esteem/Body Image
People Pleasing
Difficulty with boundary setting
I offer a warm and deeply attuned space where you can explore these patterns with compassion rather than judgment. My approach is relational and grounded in attachment theory and ACT. Together, we’ll look at how your early experiences shaped the way you show up in relationships today and how you can begin to respond with more clarity, confidence, and self‑trust.

Individual Therapy
In our work, we slow down and pay attention to what happens inside you in real time- the tightening in your chest when you want to say no, the urge to fix or appease, the fear of being “too much,” the exhaustion of always being the one who holds everything together. These moments become opportunities for healing, not something to push past. Over time, clients often describe feeling more grounded, able to set boundaries without guilt, and more connected to their own needs and values.

If this resonates, I’d be honored to support you. Reach out to schedule a consultation so we can explore whether we’re a good fit.
